The numbers

Since 2003, Puente has given nutrition education and cooking workshops with over 6,000 families in over 80 Oaxacan communities to incorporate amaranth and other healthy foods into the family diet. We currently work on community food systems in 30 Oaxacan communities. We consider the following essential building blocks for human development and community development:
